2. Pulp Fiction. From "Jungle Boogie" to "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon", the songs in this flick are absolutely essential to its genius.
3. Rushmore. The Kinks, Chad and Jeremy, and that awesome song "Concrete and Clay"... who could resist this toe-tapping soundtrack? The song choices really accentuate the hilarity of the main character.
4. The Graduate. The all-Simon and Garfunkel soundtrack is a big part of why the movie remains so unforgettable.
5. Psycho. There is something so perfectly creepy and dread-inducing about this score.
6. Harold and Maude. The completely Cat Stevens soundtrack adds a wistful flavor to the emotional landscape of the movie.
7. A Home at the End of the World. The movie features two songs by my all-time favorite musician, Laura Nyro.
8. Ratatouille. Michael Giacchino's gorgeous score perfectly evokes the beauty of Paris without being too stereotypically French.
9. Love and Death. I love this score because I love Prokofiev.
10. There Will Be Blood. Although I'm not a big Radiohead fan, Johnny Greenwood's score haunted my dreams, as well as Lisa Schwartzbaum's.

It seems you've stunned us all into silence. Still, I think we are still each showing our personalities with our lists, so good choice.
Though, There Will Be Blood? To be honest, I'm having a hard time remembering the soundtrack other than periods of loud noise.
Perfectly befitting a movie that, in essence, was a whole lot of loud noises juxtaposed between intense silences. But I agree with your point, Nilay.
There Will Be Blood did have an amazing soundtrack, I have to admit. My apologies to Bree, though not to that ass-smooching skank-whore over at EW.
You know what else had a good soundtrack this year? The Assassination of Jesse James. Moody.
ITS amazing how many people underestimate the importance of the soundtracks in movies. Glad you guys pay attention! :)
