Are There Any Good Summer Movies Out There?

1.  American Graffiti/Dazed and Confused - I can't separate these movies, that would be cheating, so instead, I listed Weekend at Bernies and Friday the 13th Part 3.  It's an off week.  These are the two best teen flicks ever made.  They get two generations just right.

2.  Superbad - It's pretty much the same movie as Dazed and Confused, except with two kids instead of ten.  Beer, sex, drugs, etc.  Are Jonah Hill and Michael Cera one note actors?  Do they have anything else to give?  The future will tell.

3.  Slacker - Austin, Texas personified.  Can you actually just walk around Texas and meet this many crazy people in one day?

4.  Stand By Me - Chopper, sic balls.

5.  The Sandlot - It's really the same movie as Stand By Me, except more lighthearted, and with a killer dog that sics baseballs (heh heh heh ... huh.).

6.  National Lampoon's Vacation - You must a got manure for your brains.

7.  Jaws - That's some bad hat Harry.

8.  A Streetcar Named Desire - Thank God for Tennessee Williams.  Everyone's always sweating in this film, so I just assume it takes place during the summer.

9.  Friday the 13th Part 3 - So bad it's good.  Before people start getting killed, and knives and arrows come out of the screen at you, people are, like, waving sticks around and parking their cars real close to the camera.

10.  Weekend at Bernies - Dead guys walking around telling jokes, audiences dying in theaters from boredom.  I must've seen this move twenty times on HBO.  I don't know why.

Bree, once again you stumped me.  I actually had to go to IMDB and punch in "summer" in their search database.  It's not that I couldn't think of any summer movies, I just couldn't think of that many good ones.  Good show.
