Trailer of the Week - The Wrestler

Have you guys seen this?  I've been a fan of Mickey Rourke for a long time, as it seems everyone else has, too, and I couldn't wait for him to resurrect his career after his performance in Sin City, but apparently that didn't take, and now they're calling The Wrestler his comeback performance.

Just from the trailer you can tell he's got his heart in it.  If you don't doubt that Rourke can bring on the emotion, just watch his brief scene in the Sean Penn film The Pledge - he's in it for about three minutes, and it's the best thing in the movie - and that's a good movie.

He's all but guaranteed an Oscar nomination, but let's hope there's a good movie to go along with his performance.  I, for one, don't see what everyone else sees in Darren Aronofsky, but we'll see what he can do when all his visual pizzaz is focused solely on the real world and not drug addiction, paranoia, or flights of fantasy.
